Welcome to Camping With The Ryes.com, we are Fred and Kerry, the hosts of this website. We both come from a background of camping, Fred was involved in the Scouting programs as a child and later as an adult with his four children, and Kerry had three girls that were in Scouting programs. Between us, we have owned tents, travel trailers, 5th wheels, and motor homes. Choosing at this time to live and travel in a Newmar Mountainaire 38′ motor home, which suits our purposes. So along with our 2 dogs and 2 cats, we go place to place as the Camphosting job leads us. In the past five years, we have a managed an RV park in Washington, done maintenance at a Southern California lake, worked as camphosts, and as a dock-hand at the Lake. And as of this date. we have camp-hosted at 11 different U.S. Forest campgrounds.
Just a little bit about our background, Fred retired from the Motion Picture Industry and Kerry from the Mortgage field. We sold our home and I can tell you that there truly is no better lifestyle than living full time in your RV. Why camphosting? Camphosting has allowed us to work outdoors in nature, live in the forest, and meet new people while paying for our adventures. This website is really our place to rant about what we see as camphosts, talk about our adventures, and to help educate the public on camping and RV techniques.
